A week after the release of the first season of One Piece, the producers of the series made a small appeal to the platform, explaining to Variety that “scenarios” were already “loans” for a potential second season. And according to them, the live-action sequel could be available on Netflix next year if filming resumes quickly – and the writers’ strike ends. “Realistically, we can hope that it will be in a year, if we move very quickly, which is a possibility”said Becky Clements, president of Tomorrow Studios, before adding: “Somewhere between a year and 18 months we could be ready for broadcast.” However, the streaming platform has remained silent since the series’ release about a sequel… Until today!
