Subject shot by FBI agent in Philadelphia was linked to robberies at 7 Eleven

One of the suspects in the armed robberies at 7 Eleven convenience stores in Philadelphia and the suburbs was killed by the FBI last Friday in Philadelphia.

It was reported that everything happened in the 1700 block of West Venago Street in the Tioga neighborhood when uniformed officers issued an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Tahiem Weeks Cook.

The deceased was part of the trio of subjects wanted for violent shoplifting in Haverford, Sharon Hill, North Wales and Upper Southhampton.

So far the FBI has not commented on why one of its agents fired at the suspect, but said everything remains under investigation.

The lawyer for the family of the deceased said that “the death of Tahiem Weeks-Cook is a devastating tragedy that could have been prevented. We require an independent investigation that encompasses the use of force protocol and de-escalation training used by the FBI in general.”
