These are 14 units of the General Electric brand, of national origin, manufactured in 1964, and which in 2020 were withdrawn from service within the framework of the network’s Rolling Stock Renewal Plan. The units circulated in the different subway lines of the City of Buenos Aires from its commissioning, until the year 2020. Each of these units, which will go up for auction with a base price of $680,000, was manufactured in the country, in the province of Córdoba, by the state company Fabricaciones Militares. All lots offered are in virtually their original condition, with few post-manufacture modifications. They have a weight of 25 tons and their body measures 17 meters long by 2.6 meters wide and 2.52 meters high.
The cars are for passenger transport, without motor. They have eight doors for ascent and descent, two doors for communication between wagons, seats, handrails and windows; and have capacity for 42 seated passengers. For rolling they have two bogies, with four wheels each. With respect to the general condition of the wagons, they are well preserved, but they show some deterioration as a result of use, in addition to the lack of their motor components, which were removed from all the units that are presented in this auction.
Subterráneos de Buenos Aires ordered the cessation of circulation of these wagons because their age and technical limitations mean that they are not compatible with the current standards of the local network. The money raised in the auction will be invested in different Subterraneos de Buenos Aires projects.

Those interested in making offers must register within 48 hours. business days prior to the start of the auction. Participation requires a guarantee deposit corresponding to 10% of the base value of the lot that you wish to acquire (amount that will be returned in full if you do not bid or if the offer is not winning, within 7 business days after the auction).

Award
Then, within the 48 business hours following the auction (immediately at the end of the auction, the winner receives an email with the notification of the award of the lot), the payment of 20% of the sale price must be made, and a 10 % corresponding to the commission plus VAT. The remaining 80% must be paid once the auction has been approved by the selling entity.
