Since its announcement, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has struggled to create enthusiasm, it must be said that the title remains very mysterious for the moment despite a few gameplay excerpts here and there. Despite everything, fans remain confident since this future video game is strong with a successful license, but above all, is produced by a talented team. As a reminder, behind Suicide Squad is the Rocksteady studio, to which we owe three remarkable productions: Batman Arkham Asylum and its sequels (Arkham City and Arkham Knight). Unfortunately, today, a piece of news has just fallen… And it doesn’t just make people happy.
Suicide Squad, a Game As A Service game?
It is based on the image available below and taken from the alpha version of the game that we were able to obtain a lot of information. As you can therefore see, Suicide Squad’s menu looks just like Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. We find in particular its layout and the presence of a “Loadout” menu which, we imagine, makes it possible to manage the equipment of its heroes.
What is even more interesting to observe is what this menu contains… And, as you can see for yourself, it brings together all the heroes (and therefore the players) under one roof. . We can therefore see Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, King Shark and Deadshot standing side by side while proudly asserting their level. In other words, the multiplayer aspect will be highlighted. A finding which is reinforced by the presence of a “Matchmaking” tab on the left side of the screen or by the presence of a “Social” menu. Information that is in no way new since, from the start, Suicide Squad was advertised as a multiplayer experience.
What is therefore singled out here is the presence of several elements that fuel mistrust. We are referring here to the Battle Pass menu or to the many visible currencies, which very clearly indicates that there will be real money at stake. These latest data obviously recall Marvel’s Avengers, a title that has not unanimity.
However, solo players will be delighted to learn that the entire adventure will indeed be playable solo. In the image, the player who embodies Captain Boomerang is effectively only accompanied by Bots.
For the moment, Suicide Squad does not have a precise release date, but everything is still expected for the 1st quarter of 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
