How did Gus and Tommy Jepperd meet in Sweet Tooth ?

Before crossing paths with Tommy Jepperd, Gus lived in hiding in Yellowstone Park with Pubba (Will Forte), his adoptive father. We learned in the Season 1 finale that shortly after The Great Collapse, Pubba accompanied his pregnant wife to the hospital. He prayed with all his might that his child would not be a hybrid. When Louisa gave birth, he then realized that her baby was half-child half-sheep. Devastated by this news, he decided to flee but met Dr. Aditya Singh on his way, with whom he will have a brief but inspiring discussion. After racing up the steps of the maternity ward to take care of his wife and child, he found that they had both disappeared. So he decided to raise Gus as his son. Unfortunately, one day, after spending years protecting him, Pubba died untimely. That’s when Jepperd, aka Big Man, appeared to save the child who seems to be looking for Birdie, the mother he never knew. He decided to protect him and accompany him in his quest. But Gus is only a ten-year-old, and sometimes he makes irreparable mistakes, like the time he fixed the radio to get in touch with the Reservation, a place described as a haven for hybrids like him. If so, General Abbot had planned to invade to capture all the hybrids. Jepperd had only a few moments to react before Abbot’s men shoot him, then take Gus with them.

Why is Dr Singh working for General Abbot?

Season 1 of Sweet Tooth reminds us thatno man is born good or bad. It is only what each person goes through that defines the nature of a Man. Regarding Dr. Singh, he is initially known as a good person. During the Great Collapse, this doctor treated patients with the virus. Soon after, his wife, Rani, was infected with the disease. He then quit medicine to take care of the latter thanks to booster shots produced by his friend and long-time colleague, Gladys Bell. When Gladys dies, he learns that she had created its treatments from hybrid child cells. He understands with horror that this is certainly the only method to save his wife suffering from stage 4 cancer. Then, a neighbor learned that Rani, his wife, was sick, and threatened to tell everything to the others. We know what happens in the neighborhood when someone is infected: we tie him to a chair and burn him in his house. Adi, sensing the threat coming, killed Nancie. Their neighbors find this suspicious attitude and decide to capture Adi and Rani, finally narrowly saved by General Abbot, who will force Dr. Singh to continue the search and make this famous remedy using the kidnapped hybrids.
