Cancun.- The union of taxi drivers of Quintana Roo blocked the hotel zone cancuncausing dozens of tourists to decide to walk towards the airport.
The taxi drivers crossed their units at the entrance and exit of the hotel zone, on the Boulevard Kukulkan.
Not being able to leave the area by vehicle, dozens of tourists chose to walk with suitcases in hand, heading to the Cancun International Airport.

The blockade occurs regarding the arrests of drivers for assaulting Uber partners and even tourists, for the operation of said service in Cancun.
The taxi drivers union demands certainty and actions before the Uber operation, which it affirms, violates its source of income.
Given the attacks the U.S. Embassy in Mexico it issued a travel alert for Quintana Roo and urged its compatriots to take extreme precautions.
