The 17-year-old fell from one of the most iconic bridges in Los Angeles. A 17-year-old teenager died when he fell from one of the most iconic bridges in the city of Los Angeles , California , while trying to broadcast through his social networks.

The accident occurred at approximately 2 in the morning on Saturday, May 20, at the famous 6th Street Viaduct .

Los Angeles Police Department officers found the boy under the iconic Giant Arch Bridge and rushed him for medical attention. However, the young man was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The city police chief confirmed that the teenager fell while climbing one of the arches of the 6th Street Viaduct in Los Angeles to broadcast on social networks.

However, the identity of the minor has not yet been revealed , nor the social network in which he was transmitting when he died.

The authorities also assured that they will increase the presence of patrols on the 6th Street bridge to prevent imprudent actions by citizens.

Since the inauguration of the work, almost a year ago, the Police have had to close the viaduct on several occasions due to street races and motorists carrying out dangerous stunts. Even a man cut his hair between the rails of the bridge.

The iconic viaduct was inaugurated in July 2022 to replace a part of the Art Deco bridge, which was already more than eight decades old and was demolished in 2016 due to its damage.

The 6th Street Bridge connects the Art District in downtown Los Angeles with the Eastside with a 1,500-meter-long concrete structure. The viaduct has 10 pairs of inclined arches and thousands of LED lights, which is why it has also been named “Ribbon of Light”.

The bridge was built with an investment of 588 million dollars, which made it the most expensive in the history of the city.
