A moment of tension was experienced on Friday night at the UNLP Law School, located at 48 between 6 and 7, when a person entered with the intention of robbery while the students and teachers of that shift were finishing the class day.

Students who lived through the moment indicated to 0221.com.ar they were studying when the alert voice of what was happening came. “We were on the second floor and colleagues came in shouting to evacuate because they had tried to rob the faculty,” said one of the students.

According to what spokespersons for the UNLP later indicated, when they did not achieve their mission on that floor, where they tried to take speakers from a classroom, the thief went to the photocopier sector where he tried to steal monitors and other items, including the cash register of the place.

The attempt was aborted by the Building Guard, who managed to find the attacker and reduce him, to hold him until the police arrived. As they indicated, when the mobile with troops arrived, they took the suspect out to the sidewalk due to the impossibility of the security force to enter a university building.

The episode, which generated nerves among the students, was also confirmed by police sources who indicated that personnel from the First Police Station acted. They indicated that the detainee is 30 years old and in his possession two monitors and a cash register were indeed found.
