oaxaca.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced a closing of the ranks for the Morena candidate who wins the poll to compete for the Presidency in 2024.
“Once the people decide, we will close ranks, and let’s all go together to succeed again, so that the transformation of public life in Mexico can continue!”, he said in San Pedro Coxcaltepec Cántaros, Oaxaca, where he inaugurated a road .
The president thus responded to the residents who were yelling at him to be re-elected next year. He rejected it because, he said, he is a Maderista and does not support re-election and, furthermore, there are good candidates.
“There is generational change, any of those who are, men or women, anyone, anyone is a guarantee that there will be continuity with change,” he said.
“And who is going to decide? You too, because there will be a survey, there will be no finger, there will be no imposition, it will be the people who will decide,” he said.
In the report on the construction of rural roads, the Secretary of Infrastructure and Communications, Jorge Nuño, reported an investment so far of 18 thousand 930 million pesos and the construction of 415 roads.
