From 1998 to 2005, the series That 70’s Showa comedy that takes place in the lives of teenagers living in the 1970s. The plot makes many references to the time, while bringing more than funny stories involving the characters.
That 70’s Show became one of the most popular sitcons of recent times, not only for being hilarious, but for revealing actors who are still successful today. Among them are Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Laura Prepon and Wilmer Walderrama. All episodes of the plot are funny, but there are some memorable scenes that are difficult to forget.
Thinking about it, the canaltech decided to list the 10 of the funniest scenes in the series That 70’s Show.
10. Kelso and the vase
In one of the funniest scenes of That 70’s Show, Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) tries to hide drugs in a plant pot, but ends up getting his hand trapped inside it. The character asks his friends for help, but Hyde keeps inventing ways to trick his friend and make him hit his face with the vase.
The object doesn’t come out at all and Kelso ends up breaking the vase in one of the attempts. What he didn’t expect was that Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) would show up at the same time and they would be caught with the bag of marijuana in their hands.
9. Lost to Dad
Eric (Topher Grace) is working at a store and meets Stacey. When trying to ask the young woman out, he ends up discovering that, in fact, she likes his father, Red. When Eric tells his friends about it, they start teasing him non-stop, saying that Red is “tough” and the young man “too loose”.
8. The group is caught
Throughout the comedy series, the teenagers gather in Red’s basement to smoke marijuana, which is not explicitly shown.
One of the funniest episodes of the series, then, shows when they are caught by the owner of the house and father of Eric. Completely altered, they begin to hallucinate while listening to a scolding, and obviously cannot take any of the words seriously.
7. “High” Parents
When the Forman family decides to have a yard sale, Hyde makes brownies to help with the sales. However, what comes as no surprise to anyone who knows him, the young man puts marijuana in the candy without telling anyone.
The brownie is left in the oven and Kitty serves it to Red, Bob (Don Stark) and Midge (Tanya Roberts), who are seen eating the cake in the kitchen. It doesn’t take long for them to start feeling the effects of the drug, yielding hilarious scenes that left young people desperate.
6. Kelso falls out of the water tank
In the series, the group of teenagers like to spend time at the city’s water tower, and one day they decide to paint a drawing of a marijuana leaf on it. After they finish painting, Kelso falls from the tower, and from below, he says that the painting looks much more like a hand giving the middle finger.
5. Kitty yells at Red
In season 5 of That 70’s Show, Kitty is dealing with menopause and it’s not being easy to deal with mood swings. In one of the crises, she gets extremely irritated with Red and starts cursing her husband in a completely unusual way for the character.
4. “Eric is a god”
When Donna (Laura Prepon) finds a pair of women’s underwear in Eric’s car, she runs to question her boyfriend with Fez (Wilmer Walderrama) and Kelso, who are itching for a fight.
Eric says he doesn’t know whose item of clothing it is, but Donna’s mother appears and says it’s hers. Immediately, Kelso and Fez bow to their friend and call him god, believing he had sex with their mother-in-law. In fact, the play was there because the culprit was looking for a creative place to stay with her husband.
3. Revelations
On Halloween, the friends discover that Kelso is the oldest of the group, having failed a year in high school. With that, he could have bought drinks for his colleagues, but he never spoke about it, and that made Hyde very angry.
But this is just one of the revelations made in the scene, as the discussion begins to escalate and other stories begin to be discovered, while they remember some moments of their friendship. All this with Fez dressed as Batman and trying to defuse the situation.
2. The Dream of Fez
One of the funniest scenes in the sitcom happens when Eric and Kelso find Fez sleeping and, while they are analyzing their friend, we see what he is dreaming. First, we see him admitted and treated by a nurse, given a sponge bath.
Then the nurse’s face changes to Kelso’s face, who begins to seduce him. He woke up desperate and screaming, with the dream tormenting him for the rest of the day. When he confesses that he had a wet dream about Kelso, they have a meltdown.
1. Talk about sex
Red and Kitty decide to have a serious talk with Eric about sex, but the couple’s ideas on the subject are different. While the mother tries to speak openly about the topic, Red just tells him never to do it with anyone. All of this, of course, makes Eric more than a little embarrassed.
