A leak gives clues about the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Remake

A new leak claims that a remake of the movie is currently in development. Metal Gear Solidand now they have provided a window on when the game might be announced.

Konami has already confirmed that it is now dedicated to licensing its biggest game properties to partner studios, with the announcement of several major Silent Hill projects.

According to this leak, Metal Gear Solid could be the next announcement from Konami, and the reveal could come surprisingly soon. Metal Gear Solid is historically Konami’s biggest franchise alongside its Pro Evolution Soccer series, but it’s been closely tied to series creator Hideo Kojima’s art for decades.

Now that Kojima is independent, Metal Gear Solid has declined. However, Konami might be willing to bring Metal Gear Solid back into the fold. Well, a recent rumor claims that a remake of Metal Gear Solid has been years in the making, made exclusively for PS5.

The source of the leak claims that the Metal Gear Solid remake will be revealed soon. Specifically, the announcement will be made before May 2023. In other words, it will likely arrive in the first quarter of 2023, sometime in January, February, March, or April. The announcement would then fall in Konami’s current fiscal year.
