The year 2022 featured many good series premieres on streaming platforms, but also many that were completely expendable. Between productions that were already expected and others that came out as novelties, some reach a consensus and others divide opinions.

Among the worst series of 2022 are Netflix plots, such as Noone can know, resident Evil and The Witcher: The Originor even HBO Max or Prime Video, like The Time Traveler’s Wife and The Terminal List.

With that in mind, Canaltech prepared a ranking with some of the worst rated series of the past year that do not need to be watched. Check out the full list.

10. No One Can Know

The series Noone can know generated expectations due to the mysterious and action-packed proposal, in addition to the good cast. However, the plot was not that successful, not flowing very well in its story and earning only 50% approval on Rotten Tomatoes.

9. Echoes

the miniseries Echoesa Netflix original, also promised to fail to please critics and Netflix subscribers in 2022. The mysterious story of these identical twins only amassed a 24% critical approval and 42% of the overall audience, so it could not be left out of the ranking.

8. The Time Traveler’s Wife

Despite dividing opinions, The Time Traveler’s Wife it could not be on the list of worst series of 2022. The plot is derived from a novel by Audrey Niffenegger and already had a movie, but not even being known by some, it managed to completely please with an exciting and confusing story in the same proportions. Critical ratings for the series only reached a 37% approval rating.

7. The Legend of the Lost Treasure: At the Edge of History

In 2022, the series premiered on Disney+ The Legend of the Lost Treasure: On the Edge of History, an adventure derived from the films of the same name, which starred Nicolas Cage. The series, however, was not so well received, accumulating only 44% approval on the Rotten Tomatoes website, which may have been a disappointment for fans of the saga.

The action series starring Chris Pratt brings an interesting story, but not enough to be left out of this list. This balance is clear in Rotten Tomatoes ratings, as it has a 39% critical approval and 95% audience approval.

How I Met Your Mother was one of the biggest hits of the year 2000, but we can’t say the same for How I Met Your Father. The spin-off debuted at the beginning of the year and even attracted the attention of the late fans of the original series, but the plot failed to please everyone, accumulating only 38% of positive ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.

2. Blockbuster

Another big Netflix bomb in 2022 was comedy Blockbuster, which tells the story of the franchise’s last movie rental store opened in the United States. Despite the nostalgia of the proposal, the plot did not conquer, delivering a weak humor and only 22% approval on Rotten Tomatoes, unfortunately.

1. The Witcher: The Origin

The Witcher: The Origin barely debuted and is already considered one of the worst of 2022. The series debuted in December as a prequel to The Witcher, a Netflix plot based on the books by Andrezej Sapkowski. However, the reception was not good at all, earning a lot of criticism and bad ratings. On Rotten Tomatoes, the production gained only 33% approval.
