Juarez City.- The 11th campus of the College of Bachelors inaugurated yesterday the week “Safe deer, together for prevention and emotional health”, with which students, teachers and parents will have conferences by 16 civil and government organizations.

During these events, the aim is to prevent the 3,000 students that this campus has and their families from falling into risk situations, it was indicated.

Some of the topics that will be taught are: adolescence and mental health, emotional intelligence, development of socio-emotional skills, risk factors and protection in adolescence, cybercrime and digital security, young people and road safety education, gender violence and its reporting, and prevention of sexual assault.

“Ciudad Juárez has left us great challenges in terms of youth, and not long ago we had a situation that just called us to continue joining efforts… the mascot of this campus is a deer and the deer is a very agile animal that has the characteristic of being able to go free when he sees a dangerous situation,” said Yair Hernández, from the State Human Rights Commission (CEDH).

Present at the event were Enrique Martínez, coordinator of the Table for Prevention of Addictions and Violence; Maurilio Fuentes Estrada, Undersecretary of Education and Sports; Marisa Cardona, coordinator of School Coexistence, and Erika Rodríguez Ramírez, director of the campus. Rosa Isela Gaytán, Undersecretary of Prevention of the State Public Security Secretariat, did not attend, despite the series of events that have occurred in the previous two weeks, which involve students of an educational level.

The participating organizations are the State Investigation Agency (AEI), the Cyber ​​Police, the Justice Center for Women, the CEDH, Rotmenas, the Attorney General’s Office and Youth Integration Centers, among others.
