The James Webb Space Telescope is one year old today. Designed in particular by NASA and the European Space Agency, it has made it possible, throughout this year, to take incredible photos of our galaxy and neighboring galaxies. We reveal the 5 best images transmitted by the Webb telescope.

The space observation of our universe has particularly marked the year, in particular thanks to the incredible images transmitted by the James Webb telescope. From the South Ring Nebula, to the planet Jupiter, the colors and level of detail captured by the James Webb Space Telescope (i.e. a telescope placed beyond the atmosphere) are incredible.
First of all, NASA teams published some mind-blowing images of the Pillars of Creation. Located 7,000 light years from Earth, these clusters of interstellar dust observed for the first time in 1995 by the Hubble telescope, are striking and the image taken by Webb is just as striking.
Unpublished images representing the formation of certain stars in the carina nebula also particularly impressed this year. Both by the number of stars present on the picture and by the colors and the level of detail, the image is incredible.
The Tarantula Nebula, located in the Large Magellanic Cloud 160,000 light years from Earth, is also spectacular. The different gases present in this nebula notably explain the incredible colors visible in the image taken by the telescope.
The South ring and Jupiter to close this top 5
Last July, Webb also captured the South Ring Nebula. Located 2,000 light-years from Earth, it is characterized by a huge cloud of dust and gas of different temperatures and therefore represented by the telescope, with different colors.
Finally, closer to us, Jupiter was also strikingly photographed by the telescope this year. The fifth planet in the solar system (compared to the sun) and the largest in size is composed mainly of hydrogen and helium.
