Team Jokerit Oy has debts totaling 1,031,000 euros. The largest part of the company’s debts, 700,000 euros, consists of loans received from the shareholders, that is Joel Harkimo. Harkimo is the company’s largest creditor.
The company also has other debts, including 64,000 euros in license fees, 60,000 euros in late fees for a business settlement, 37,000 euros in hall fees, 150,000 euros in salary debts.
Among the creditors in the bankruptcy petition filed in the Helsingfors tingsrätt there are also Jokerit ry with 64,000 euros, Helsinki Halli with 37,000 euros and Jokerit Hockey Club with 60,000 euros.
The Helsinki district court declared Team Jokerit Oy bankrupt on Monday.
Team Jokerit Oy was one of several simultaneous projects to return the Joker’s representative team to the domestic hockey map after the KHL adventure. Now, instead, Jokerit Helsinki Oy has applied for a Mestis license for the 2023-24 season.
