The confession of the mayor of Tigre Julio Zamora about his list with Grabois: "We are going with the worst of all"

The National Electoral Chamber issued a resolution this Thursday that prevents the mayor of Tigre, Julio Zamorato compete in the elections on August 13 with the presidential ballot of Sergio Massa. Consequently, the communal chief may only go with John Graboiswhile Malena Galmarinihis internal opponent, will be the one who appears on the list headed by the Minister of Economy.

Once the decision of the Justice was known, the mayor acknowledged that in August he will compete on the ballot for the “worst of all”.

“Let’s go with the worst of all, right?” He wonders. And he clarifies that although he feels honored to be the candidate for mayor of the social leader, for “some people” Grabois is “the worst of all because he is a rebellious type”, “a man from the margin”.

And ironically he reflects: “If we win with that candidate, we pass the acid test.”.

Despite Zamora’s desire, the Electoral Chamber determined that he did not have the necessary guarantees to integrate the ballot that Massa will lead in Unión por la Patria.

“For the primary, open, simultaneous and mandatory elections, the union of the ballots of the lists of pre-candidates must also have the express consent of the proxies of the lists”, indicates the judicial definition.

In it, they point out that, after presenting the ballot model to the group’s electoral board, Zamora issued statements against Sergio Massa that were considered “unjustified malicious grievances” and that “they place him in a personal, ideological and functional confrontation with the pre-candidate for president.”

“The expressions poured configure ‘serious libel and slander’”, reads the resolution. And he adds in another passage: “The factual fact of sharing the electoral body must have an intrinsic minimum political communion between all the members of the different categories, especially when it comes to the Precandidate who leads the ballot in correlative order, a fact that is not verified in the case of the pre-candidate denounced for his public statements”.

The resolution of the National Electoral Chamber is released almost a month after the Unión por la Patria party junta in PBA enabled the Tigrense community chief to compete within the space against the head of AYSA, Malena Galmarini, who will go for the candidacy for municipal mayor.

After the verdict was announced, from the Renovating Front of the Province of Buenos Aires highlighted the decision of the authorities and once again repudiated Zamora’s statements about Massa.

Through a statement issued by the members of the space, they expressed: “After the serious, unjustified and insulting malicious grievances expressed by the candidate for Mayor Julio Zamora regarding our candidate for president Sergio Massa, electoral justice could not uphold a decision to the contrary”.

And they added: “We understand that democratic participation has been guaranteed, since Julio Zamora will be able to freely compete on the list of the candidate for president Juan Grabois, for whom he has publicly expressed his preference, under full equality of conditions like so many other candidates.” of the Union for the Homeland Electoral Alliance”.

In recent years, Zamora – who had been a civil servant during Massa’s administration in Tigre – He distanced himself from the Renewal Front and leaned on the Justicialista Party. The differences with the current candidate for president of Unión por la Patria and Galmarini were increasingly notorious, to the point that he was one of the Peronist mayors who, during Massa’s administration at the head of the Economy questioned the relationship he had with the International Monetary Fund.
