The Day Before has problems and brings us very bad news. A smart guy had fun putting obstacles in the way for the developers and he obviously succeeded.
The Day Before, considered since its announcement as a curious mixture of MMO, The Last of Us and The Division, is in turmoil. After several postponements, years of incredible development, rare and sporadic communication, as well as several dramas, especially when the studio was trying to recruit volunteers, the game has some very sad news to announce. He is completely blocked.
The Day Before will come another day
While a big gameplay video was to be shared today, the Fntastic studio has finally announced that its big post-apo survival MMO will not be released in March as had been planned for a while. Again, the game is postponed and there, it will not see the light of day before the end of the year. The reason ? A brand issue.
Although the game was announced in January 2021, the brand The Day Before had not yet been registered in the United States and, a few days after the broadcast of the first trailer, a smart guy reserved the name with approved services. As a result, 2 years later, the studio finds itself stuck and Steam even blew up the game’s page from its store. We are still talking about one of the most “wishlisted” titles on the platform.
Just before the game’s release, Steam blocked our page at the request of an individual, because of the name The Day Before. As you know, our game was announced in January 2021. At the time of the announcement, the “The Day Before” brand was still available. After the announcement, someone applied before us to register the mark in the United States.

Fntastic therefore has no choice but to call on its lawyers to try to unravel the case and must postpone the release of its game until later.
From now on, The Day Before is no longer expected on March 1, 2023, but next November 10 on consoles and PC (if all goes well).
