Announced in July of this year, the game The Division Resurgence will debut the Ubisoft franchise in the mobile segment. It seeks to have a narrative independent of other games and a very wide open world for players.

Will the arrival of the new title of The Division to mobile devices have the potential for success? TudoCelular tested it during the closed beta – which took place from the 8th to the 22nd of December – and tells you all the details now.

essence kept

Despite the freer narrative, the story does not lose the essence of what we know about the franchise. Here we have a post-apocalyptic world, after an epidemic has been triggered by a virus in dollar bills, during a Black Friday.

Resurgence puts the player in the role of one of the agents summoned by the United States to try to contain the problems arising from the incident. You will have to work in the city of Manhattan, in New York, to face an initial moment of danger.

The developer allows you to create your own character in order to make the experience more personalized. You can select some “Specialization” among three options, which vary according to the set of three skills chosen – physical attack and explosives; strategy and tactical resources; shields and focus on defense.

Despite giving a taste of how the whole plot of the game will be, it has not yet been possible to understand what is the different “point of view” promised by the developers for this game.

How is the experience?

In The Division Resurgence, the mechanics don’t differ much from what we find in other games for other platforms. the scheme loot’n’shoot it is maintained, so that the player can equip weapons, improve equipment and increase attributes as progress passes, in addition to having gameplay based on shooting enemies.

Although you have the possibility of connecting a Bluetooth joystick to your smartphone to have a more console-like experience, you can take advantage of the touch buttons on the screen to carry out commands. Even with a good adaptation for mobile, we feel that the large amount of options leaves the screen full of buttons, which can make you feel “lost” while not memorizing where each action is located.

Among the available game modes are the conventional campaign and multiplayer alternatives, with the already known Domination and dark zone?? The first requires your team to dominate three points on the map. The second puts the players to fulfill objectives in a period of 20 minutes.

Each modality has its style and stimulus to fun. Overall, the closed beta managed to portray all options well – both PvE and PvP – without a major flaw discovered so far.

Graphics and performance on mobile

A highlight to the part possible to observe was the visual part. The graphics created for Resurgence are not far from what we find in the other titles of the franchise for computers and consoles, either in moments of pure action or in cutscenes??

The characters and settings don’t fall short in the level of detail and realistic appearance. Fluidity also allows for satisfactory smoothness in this first moment to play on a mobile device – we tested it on a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and we had a stable fps rate at 30 fps.

But that takes a “price”: about 10 GB of your storage occupied by the game. You can even customize the graphics settings to run on smaller devices, but you may still experience delays on screens. loading??

Final considerations

It is clear that we have here a FPS style game that will fight for a space disputed by big titles, such as call of duty mobile and free fire?? But the developers of The Division Resurgence seem to know about the heavy competition and bet on the best elements that the franchise has.

The variety of game modes and the possibility to switch between PvE and PvP are what this novelty is betting on to conquer gamers and establish itself in the mobile market. Consolidated gameplay, well-created story and graphic quality will not be missing to help Ubisoft achieve this success.

The Division Resurgence does not have a release date as of yet.
