Leonardo Fabio Martínez (47), who had been on the run since March 14, 2022 after having escaped from the Third Section of Posadas, was recaptured this Wednesday in Paraguay.
According to what was reported by police sources, through the Complex Investigations Directorate of Misiones, the National Police of Paraguay was alerted that the individual had fled to the neighboring country, for which the Tripartite Command recaptured the person involved in the department of Itapúa, establishing that this would be related to crimes against property in Paraguay.
While the procedures for extradition to Misiones are processed, Martínez must first answer for the crime to which he is accused in Paraguay, and then he will be charged in the province of Misiones for the crime of flight added to the criminal act for which he was already prisoner, added the spokesmen.
