Hide images from games on the Xbox interface
Some gamers find the image of a game too distracting or prefer a simpler background when browsing their home screen.
With this new feature, players can hide game images so that they no longer replace the home screen background every time you select a game tile. Instead, the back – home screen map will always remain in the solid color of your choice.
To adjust your background, go to the General settings of the console then in the personalization and background options. On this page, you can choose to show or hide the game image using the button located at the bottom right of the screen.
Use the Google Home app as a touchscreen remote for your Xbox console
As of 2019, you can control your Xbox console using voice commands with Google Assistant. Now you can use the Google Home app as a touchscreen remote for your Xbox console.
When you add your Xbox console to your Google Home app, you’ll be able to easily turn your console on and off, navigate the screen, control media playback, and more. You can use the Google Home app to control your Xbox just like you do other smart home devices.
To get started, go to the Google Home app on your phone. Pull down to refresh your devices and tap on your Xbox console to bring up touch controls.
