This Saturday, April 22, the first International Book Fair began in the city of Cancun, an event that brought together dozens of national and international authors, researchers, and speakers, who participated with the same objective: to exalt the Mayan culture of the peninsula.

The first edition of said festival was achieved thanks to the coordination of the Quintanarroense Council of Science and Technology (Coqcyt) and the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) who made available to readers various editorial versions of their property.

It was the Kah’Yok planetarium located next to the Casa de la Cultura, the official headquarters of this International Book Fair, which managed to gather hundreds of books on different themes. Children’s, scientific, cultural, were just some of the copies that were put up for sale during the event.

In addition to book sales, the festival’s programming also included various recreational activities, dances, conferences, and book presentations by the same authors.

It should be remembered that the activities of this first Book Fair in Cancun will last until next Sunday, April 23, where there will also be the presentation of various literary works and conferences by the countries invited during this first edition (Chile and Argentina ).
