You’ve been waiting for it, here it is. It’s hot and straight out of the oven. This is the new trailer for The Flash with its batch of Made in DC superheroes. How to improve the DCU?
The Flash is therefore the next superhero film from DC Studios, particularly anticipated because it stars the emblematic character of Barry Allen, alias The Flash. For the record, the film is directed by Andy Muschietti, from a screenplay by Christina Hodson. We know the director to be notably behind the excellent saga remake of That (2017) and its sequel, It: Chapter 2 (2019). The man is therefore of the bottle and we already know that he is talented in the role of director.
What is The Flash? Or rather who is it?
The Flash character was created in 1956 and is known for his incredible speed, allowing him to run at supersonic speeds and travel through time. Starting from this premise, the film The Flash in question will be a loose adaptation of the 2016 Flashpoint comic book story, in which Barry Allen wakes up in an alternate reality where his mother was never murdered. This new reality obviously has repercussions for the entire DC Universe, and Barry must do everything to restore order. It obviously recalls furiously the starting point of a certain Spider-Man : No Way Home from Marvel.
A film full of surprises with Batman as a guest-star and… Superman?
Ezra Miller will reprise his role as Barry Allen/The Flash, having previously played the character in Justice League by Zack Snyder in 2017. The film will also feature several other actors from the DC Universe, including Michael Keaton who will reprise his iconic role as Batman by Tim Burton, as well as Ben Affleck, who will reprise his role as Batman from the DC/SnyderVerse universe.
The film is also supposed to introduce new characters, including Sasha Calle, who will play Supergirl, and Maribel Verdú, who will play Barry Allen’s mother. But that’s not all since in addition to Batman, the film has some surprises in store for you as you can see in the trailer above.
When is The Flash movie coming out?
The feature film is scheduled for June 16, 2023 and we obviously hope from the bottom of our hearts that it will be convincing enough to bring its letters of nobility to the DCU which is gradually being put in place. There is no doubt that James Gunn and Peter Safran, the two strong men at Warner in charge of DC films will be very attentive to this release.
