The Last of Us Part 1 still brings many PCs to their knees, but Naugthy Dog has just announced some great news.
We are not telling you anything, the release of The Last of Us Part 1 on PC, the remake of Naughty Dog’s cult game, was a real disaster. While a few players obviously didn’t have any problems, many of those who bought the game as soon as it was released were quickly disillusioned. Bugs, crashes, optimization problems… an incomprehensible disaster for which Naughty Dog has already apologized. The studio has also worked hard to put its game back on the right track and has already patched it several times. But that’s not it yet. However, the bulk of the issues should soon be resolved with a long-awaited big patch that should fix many critical bugs.
A big new patch for The Last of Us on PC
In any case, this is what the studio announces to us on Twitter by teasing the imminent arrival of a new update for next week. The Last of Us Part 1 will therefore be entitled to a 1.0.4 patch in a few days and the developers tell us that it should significantly improve things.
In the little tweet shared online, the Dogs state that this upcoming patch should improve framerate, fix several graphical bugs, stabilize texture issues and fix numerous crashes. Other patches will of course be included, but the big one is there. Now all you have to do is wait.
An essential remake
The Last of Us Part 1 on PC should therefore offer a much more pleasant experience for a large number of players who are still victims of various technical problems. And it’s a shame, since the title is one of the most significant of recent years. Long-time fans know, The Last of Us shook up the industry when it was released in 2013 on PS3, setting the bar high in terms of storytelling, direction and technique.
Its remake is not to be outdone on PS5 since it retains exactly the same qualities as the original game, and improves absolutely everything else. The gameplay is more fluid, the graphics are much improved and practically, everything has been completely retyped, in particular the sometimes unrecognizable environments as they have changed, even if the structure of the level design remains identical to the original game.
