Before the debut of The Last of Us on HBO (in Germany on Sky and WOW) Neil Druckmann talked about Naughty Dog in an interview with the Hollywood reporters some of his time on the set of the video game adaptation. As we already know, the story of Season 1 of the series will mainly revolve around the first game from 2013. However, Druckmann was also asked whether and how things would turn out in the future with a second season could go on.
The Last of Us Part 2 = Season 2?
HBO has not yet commissioned a renewal of The Last of Us. That could probably also be from success of the series be dependent. However, Neil Druckmann indicates that a second season with the story of The Last of Us Part 2 would employ. “We have no plans to tell any story that isn’t an adaptation of the games. We don’t want to have the same problems as Game of Thrones – especially since Part 2 ends without a cliffhanger.” promises the Last of Us creator in an interview.
All fans of the Naughty Dog series already know what that would mean for Season 2 of The Last of Us. New characters will fill important roles in the series. This includes, among other things Abby, who – along with Ellie and Joel – is one of the main characters of Part 2. At the time of its launch, the story of the sequel was partially fierce controversy worried about players. Despite all this, no changes are to be expected here.
Season 1 starts soon!
We only have a few more days to go Prelude to The Last of Us starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in the lead roles of Joel and Ellie. Episode 1 will be available in Germany on the night of January 15th to 16th, 2023 on Sky and WOW. And you should definitely bring some time with you. According to HBO, the episode will have a length of 85 minutes to have. The complete season of The Last of Us consists of a total of nine episodes.
