Schulz was born on September 10, 1989 and lives in Dortmund. He comes from a family of entrepreneurs: in 1949, his grandfather Helmut Schulz founded an import company for fish from Scandinavia under the name MDS.
Little Tillman’s favorite toy: the calculating machine on his father’s desk. After graduating from high school in 2009 and completing a bank apprenticeship, Schulz joined the company in 2012, which he has been running in the third generation with cousin Moritz since 2020.
The company has 19 subsidiaries and supplies retailers such as Aldi and Lidl with groceries

Tillman Schulz has loved Cosima for 13 years, whom he married in September 2018. The couple has two children and lives in Dortmund. Schulz describes himself as a genuine Dortmunder who loves his family and BVB.
