Insecurity in La Plata continues to hit residents and merchants who, day after day, are besieged by crime that does not stop gaining ground on the city streets. In this worrisome context, yesterday a new attack by the well-known “lottery thief” was reported, who in less than 48 hours committed another crime, but this time at a location in Los Hornos.

It should be remembered that the first robbery took place in the building on Avenida 44 between 199 and 200, a block and a half from the Lisandro Olmos police station.

For his part in the second robbery, and based on what was reported by official sources to this newspaper, it was committed in a lottery agency located at Calle 66 and 149, in the early hours of the morning. As he did before, this time the criminal was also very meticulous when it came to attacking, according to what the security cameras that were inside showed.

The thief, in his 60s, reappeared again with a flannel to erase all fingerprints and was skillful in finding the money from the cash register.

One of the owners of the premises informed this medium that after seeing the EL DIA note, that through the security cameras she saw movements and clothing very similar to those she had used in the first episode.

“He took money of approximately 40,000 pesos, an electric kettle and a cell phone. She entered with gloves and a chinstrap. Looking at the video from the other agency, I have no doubt that it is the same one,” he stated.

In turn, the criminal carried a flashlight with him, in order to better visualize the boxes of money and some valuables that he took and, as happened in Olmos, he practically walked away.

At this time, the police officers, after becoming aware of the crime, are trying to find the “lottery thief” who seems not to fear anything since in this last assault he even acted with his face uncovered, only with a mask that covered his head. mouth part.

The first case had already been taken over by the Operational Technical Office of the Fifteenth Police Station and the UFI No. 9 of Ignored Authors of the judicial department of La Plata.

in every detail

As in the first case, the person involved once again showed himself to be a criminal with vast experience, since he proved not to be an improvised person when committing an illegal act.

The author of the robbery was careful in his movements and was not concerned about the passage of time.

In fact, in the robbery committed in Olmos, it took him about 45 minutes to get away with about 60,000 pesos, an electric kettle, a mate and an old radio recorder. On that occasion he covered his face with a scarf and a hat, and with a flannel he wiped everything he touched. At this time the agents hope to find his whereabouts and be able to arrest him.
