After 2 years of waiting, The Mandalorian is returning with more force to the Star Wars galaxy. On March 1, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) will be back with the long-awaited season 3, led by Grogu (Baby Yoda) and a new batch of adventures on the horizon. Less than 20 days after its premiere, Empire thrilled fans of the series with a new image.

This presents the protagonists of the new installment with Din Djarin, Grogu and his new ally and friend, the Mandalorian Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff). And as usual, the Mandalorians appear with their faces hidden.

According to the official synopsis for The Mandalorian (S3), it “will follow the Mandalorian’s journeys through the Star Wars galaxy as they continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to turn the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and create new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”

The third installment will reveal many aspects of the culture and the planet from which the protagonist comes. “What I like most about this third season is that the world opens up in reference to Mandalore and the Mandalorians,” Pascal said in an interview with the British magazine.

The cast of The Mandalorian (S3)

Apart from Pascal and Sackhoff, the cast is completed by Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito in the central roles. The directors of the new chapters are Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey and Bryce Dallas Howard.

For his part, the production is driven by Jon Favreau in the position of showrunner, main writer and executive producer together with Dave Filoni, the creative mind behind the franchise’s animated series.

The Mandalorian (T3) premieres on March 1, exclusively on Disney +. Meanwhile, the respective seasons 1 and 2 can be seen with their full episodes on the same streaming service.
