The Ministry of Labor issued today the mandatory conciliation for a term of fifteen days in the 24-hour strike carried out by bank workers to demand salary increases.

The resolution of the labor portfolio instructs the Banking Association to cease “all measures of direct action” and provide services on a regular basis.

The hearing was set for Monday the 27th; which implies that there should be normal activity in the banks for at least 15 days.

Sergio Palazzo, had said in an interview with C5N: “We have installed as joint issues, before discussing the percentage, that there be some type of compensation by the companies for the income tax that the workers are paying.”

On the other hand, the also deputy of the Frente de Todos reiterated his claim regarding the bank workers who must pay the Income Tax and demanded a bonus from the companies, so that they compensate the impact of the same on their affiliates.

“It is an amount that, as time goes by, becomes larger and has a greater percentage impact,” said Palazzo, who recalled that they sent a bill to Congress.
He also added: “Although we interpret that salary is not profit, the project tends (to reach) high incomes and not the majority of workers.”

The Bank obtained a salary improvement of 94.1% in the 2022 parity, which was placed just below the 94.8% of inflation that INDEC shared for December of last year. Inflation in January already registered 6% per month. Given this, they seek to compensate for this loss in the 2023 increase.
