TVSPIELFILM.de: Caro Pfluger and her father bring a secret to the Gruberhof. Can you tell us more about that?

Barbara Lanz: Things have happened in the past that have caused deep wounds. Wounds that you can’t easily ignore when you suddenly find yourself face to face again after many years and realize that nothing from back then has really healed. A mental scar tears open again and old pain comes up, of which you may not have known how strong it is still present.

“You have never done our family any good,” accuses Caro Martin. What does she mean by that?

In Caro’s eyes, Martin is to blame for a lot of what went wrong in her life. She blames him for things not necessarily related to actual origin. But there is one thing she is quite sure about, what he did “wrong” and what he should now do “right” in her eyes. And on this point she remains very clear.

Martin obviously refuses to be approached by Caro’s family. In the meantime, the Grubers have an open fracture. Does the season end more forgiving?

I would say it ends more truthfully. Now all the cards are on the table. From now on everything is possible!

Does that mean you’ll be a regular in season 17 as well?

Looks like it (laughs).

“Der Bergdoktor”: Eight new episodes will run from December 29th. every Thursday at 8:15 p.m. on ZDF. Each episode is a week ahead in the media library to disposal.
