The Naafkopf giant slalom run – “Naafkopf” for short – organized by the Nenzing winter sports club has a long tradition: ski greats such as Anita Wachter, Rainer Salzgeber, Marc Girardelli and Matthias Berthold, but also many successful young skiers from Vorarlberg and Switzerland…

could sit at the top of the list of winners. This year the race is scheduled for Sunday, April 23rd. The race is special in every respect: you will look in vain for a lift to help you get up, the participants have to cover the distance to the start with their skis on the “hump”. For this they are rewarded with the magnificent mountain scenery of the Nenzinger Himmel.

Children born in 2013 or later (only squad runners) as well as young people and adults of all ages are eligible to start. Entries must be sent in writing to Thomas Riener (E: [email protected], T: 0676/7223807) by Thursday, April 20 at the latest. Starting numbers are handed out on the day of the race, from 7 a.m. at the Alpengasthof Gamperdona, the race starts at 10.30 a.m. In addition to trophies and non-cash prizes, the winners will once again be able to win cash prizes this year – a total of 1,000 euros. Current information about the preparations for the race is also available below www.wsv-nenzing.at available.
