Finally Newscast again! Melanie, Alex and Ana review the news of the past week. Of course, all of this is dominated by the Developer Direct from Xbox and Bethesda, which is waiting for us with a few releases and a large shadow drop. But not everything is as colorful as Hi-Fi Rush. Unfortunately, there was also some sad news.

From Direct to Direct: A whole transfer has been planned from From Software to Armored Core 6! What do you want to discuss there? After all, the release of the fifth Armored Core was 11 years ago, and the online servers were discontinued in 2014. It begs the question of how a game from the mecha universe could become with a big budget. But I also wonder if the many Souls fans are really interested in another franchise, or if From’s old sci-fi series continues to appeal to a small niche despite the great success of Elden Ring.
Also not to be overlooked is the announced DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, which, under the name “Project Liberty”, is now announcing that it will have the largest budget ever for an expansion of CD Projekt Red. Since the Cyberpunk release in 2020, however, we have all been a little more careful with advertising promises from CDPR. But there was also some sad news: including many layoffs from merged companies and the end of a Marvel project. Who would have thought that a game with superheroes would flop?
