More of 3 thousand boys and girls from La Plata participate in the program “Summer Open Schools” that develops in 54 public establishments in the city since last week with aquatic, sports, artistic and didactic activities.

The initiative is aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 12 and proposes a pedagogical continuity during the summer school recess and is carried out in secondary schools 45, 78 and 92; in elementary schools 121, 81, 59, 29, 35, 26, 80, 36, 124, 17, 73, 123, 76, 32, 52, 13, 40, 27, 61, 116, 41; in kindergartens 928 and 952; in the Special School No. 527 and in the Physical Education Center No. 2. Registration is still open for those who want to join.

“We are very happy to launch this interactive public initiative that every year benefits thousands of people from La Plata, giving them the opportunity to enjoy different types of activities during the month of January,” said the president of the School Council, Nicholas Morzone.

In this way, the proposal is developed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes aquatic, sports, artistic, and didactic activities within educational establishments, with specialized teaching teams in each subject; in addition to access to the school food service (SAE) for those who participate.

“Beyond the fact that there was a prior registration through the Ministry of Education of the province of Buenos Aires, in some institutions it is still open for those who are interested,” said Morzone, adding: “We invite parents from all educational communities to participate in the activities.
