Wojcicki, 54, will be succeeded by her deputy director Neal Mohan, a senior advertising and product executive who joined Google in 2009.
The change comes as YouTube ad revenue fell for the second straight quarter amid intense competition for watch time with other platforms such as TikTok and Facebook Reels. In addition to streaming services, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney +.
