A larger screen and more comfortable battery life
The fourteenth generation to bury the Mini format, and bets on a form-factor bigger by designing the iPhone 14 Plus. With its 6.7-inch screen, it brings a much more comfortable gaming and viewing experience than the 6.1-inch iPhone 14. Admittedly, the grip will be less comfortable for small hands, but it has the advantage of being incredibly light. Its OLED panel is of very good quality and of course has the notch reduced by 20% last year. The 120 Hz remains exclusive to the Pro range, but even with a screen limited to 60 Hz navigation will be very pleasant and optimized.
This larger version of the smartphone also promises better battery life. The Californian firm promises an improvement of up to 25% compared to the iPhone 13. It can easily reach two days of autonomy in a row without flinching. On the other hand, its slow charge prevents it from having the note of 10/10 on this category.
It does not lack power
Like the iPhone 14, the Plus model benefits from the chip of the iPhone 13 Pro: the A15 Bionic, with a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU. A slight gain in power compared to the previous model, but without much change. It will be able to handle any type of task without slowing down. Then, with iOS 16, you will enjoy an interface that is always fluid and easy to use.
Finally, for the photo part, the iPhone 14 Plus relies on two 12-megapixel sensors with a wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lens. The aperture is a little wider than before to capture more light, and therefore more detail. The selfie camera has also been improved and now includes autofocus. The shots are successful, but we regret the absence of a telephoto lens for the price.
