As this newspaper learned from official sources, it is the “Strengthening Program for Residents”, a measure that is part of the guidelines of the Five-Year Plan announced by the government at the 2023 Provincial Health Congress.
In this way, it seeks to generate incentives for those professionals in training who choose residencies in specialties prioritized by the Ministry of Health. For example, a salary bonus of 15% is foreseen on the salary of an R1 for residents. In addition, the degree of university specialist is financed by the Ministry of Health for those who complete their residences.
On the other hand, a change that was demanded by the sector is expected: that the exclusive dedication go to 36 or 48 hours with title blocking. And also an increase in the fees paid by IOMA
In addition, a guarantee of admission to the plant would be granted once the residency of these specialties and protected quotas for research scholarships have finished.
