the shocking wind and rain storm that broke out in Rosario this friday afternoon caused severe damage to public roads, with a large number of fallen trees and branches, in some cases on cars, houses and even the Alberdi Hospital. Civil Defense estimates that some 56 mm of water fell in one hour and that there were gusts of up to 92 kilometers per hour.

After the fierce storm, which brought a bit of relief because the temperature dropped, the panorama in some blocks of the city was bleak: trees and branches collapsed in the street, on vehicles and against some houses. There were also various explosions, flooding of roads and sidewalks and many scares, although no injuries were reported.

Nevertheless, from Civil Defense of the Municipality of Rosario They warned that the climatic phenomenon could have an aftershock this Friday night and an orange alert was still in force. For this reason, they recommended not going out, avoiding transfers and uncovering drains in private homes.

During the afternoon they registered several shocking episodes that they didn’t end up with people being narrowly injured. One was the fall of two trees on the front of the Alberdi Hospital, in the north, although the impact did not alter normal care at the health center.

Another occurred in the center, in the block from Presidente Roca and Córdoba. A huge tree collapsed in the middle of the rain and hit a car that was driving down the street. Fortunately for the driver, it did not fall squarely on the vehicle and did not suffer a scratch.
