Staged on Sunday 22 January live at Villa del Colle and last night on YouTube, Judgment Day has finally been consigned to the archives, bringing an air of great change to the house SIW (Superior Italian Wrestling). Between shocking debuts and many surprises, the Tuscan promotion has once again raised the bar of Wrestling in Italy, giving fans a new absolute champion: the member of the Beer Club Mirko Mori.

The results of SIW Judgment Day

SIW Tag Team Championship: Most Wanted (Pan & Picchio) beat High Society (Alex Flash & Liam Massett) (C)

The show opened with a couple match full of history behind it. The two teams had faced each other before at Colossal, but this time the stakes were really high. If Woodpecker and Pan lost, they would be forced into a split. The Most Wanted were the winners, becoming new champions and taking the well-deserved applause of the public.

Angel Hayze beats Amara Jayde

International and entirely female challenge between the former NXT UK star Angel Hayze and the very young Amara Jayde (who replaced Swan). Despite Hayze’s tenacity, experience and shrewdness prevailed over her opponent, bringing home an easy victory.

Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match for the WILD Championship: Strike Hellwig beats Nico Inverardi & Ivan Blake (C)

An adrenaline-pumping and spectacular match that gave numerous heart-pounding moments including a spectacular dropkick by Nico Inverardi from the ladder outside the ring and a Death Valley Driver by Ivan Blake on a table. Towards the end of the match Strike Hellwig landed a superb Swanton Bomb from the ladder against Ivan Blake to become the new WILD champion. Clear demonstration of how TLC matches can also be set up in Italy.

Bongiovanni wins the Superior Rumble

A rumble for 30 men (and women) who gave a show. Entering with number one, Adriano once again proved that he is the lion of Rome, however he was eliminated by the wily Sid Scala, former GM of NXT UK. Huge surprise the debut of Danny Lazzarin with the number 30. The social media star was sitting in the audience and entered the ring by making a clean sweep of the opponents only to be eliminated by Alex Flash. The match was won by Bongiovanni, who entered with the number 19, a face well known to fans of Italian Wrestling. With this victory he earned the opportunity to have a title match in the future.

No Rules Match for the SIW Championship: Mirko Mori beats Nick Wave (C)

Violence, blood, emotions, audience involvement, storytelling. In one of the best matches ever played in Italy Mirko Mori and Nick Wave literally went to war, putting an end (for the moment) to the heated rivalry between Beer Club and the Legion of Freedom. Mirko Mori became the new SIW champion in the jubilation of the public at Villa del Colle. The decisive pinfall was counted by Ref Vettori after Giulia Lucchesi had been knocked out by Mori himself.

Where to see Judgment Day

If you weren’t able to catch it live last night, Judgment Day is still visible in deferred on the SIW YouTube channel.
