In the early hours of Saturday, May 6, four bodies were abandoned on a public road in the city of Acapulco Guerrero. All the bodies had traces of torture and they had ropes tied around their necks, although only one of them was hanging from a pedestrian bridge in the La Laja neighborhood, on Ruiz Cortines avenue.
The finding was reported to the local police at around six in the morning by the inhabitants who, when traveling along the road, noticed the cruel scene. One of the bodies was lying on the bridge and two more were abandoned on the asphalt and covered with pieces of cardboard.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police cordoned off the area and cut off vehicular traffic for a few hours so that the experts and agents of the Public Ministry could proceed with the removal of the bodies and begin the compilation of investigations. Army agents also arrived, in order to protect the area.
Along with the body that was suspended from the bridge was hung a narcomanta signed by “the rusada”, a name by which he is also known The Russiansa criminal cell that emerged as an armed wing related to the faction of Sinaloa cartel of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada.
The threatening message was directed towards people who support Felix Alejandro Magno Acevedo, alias “El Correcaminos”identified as the leader of the Acapulco Independent Cartel (CIDA) who was released from prison in May 2021.
“This goes to the ball of hallucinations who are believing the story of FÉLIX ALEJANDRO MAGNO ACEVEDO alias ‘EL CORRECAMINOS’ who brings support, you can’t see where he can, stop talking nonsense, see your reality or that’s how they will end ( sic.)”, can be read at the beginning of the text.
Likewise, the intimidating message apparently left by Los Rusos mentioned characters identified as Marcos Parra, alias “El Panadero”; Juan Sánchez, aka “El Toto” and Luis Antonio Muñoz Lara, alias “El Bolillo”.
In another part of the canvas, a warning was also included for the security forces of the three levels of government. “I think you already saw that they have seized enough weapons, they know what you have with whatbut there has always been respect for you because we will respect the institutions (sic.)”.
In addition to this, they recommended that “the commanders of any corporation” “do not get involved here or there.” Finally, they referred to prison staff to say that “we are going to give them a week” to “stop supporting” “El Correcaminos”.
The version circulated in local media that the victims found on the morning of May 6 would be two drug dealers, a hawk and an alleged hitman for “Toto”. However, this information has not been officially confirmed by any authority.
According to the reports, Los Rusos is the group of hitmen with whom “El Mayo” would dispute territorial control against the little boysa faction headed by the sons of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.
At least since 2015, The Russians established an alliance with Jose Gil Caro Quinteroalias “El Pelo Chino” or “Jogil”, nephew of Rafael Caro Quintero, to control the drug trafficking routes in Guerreroso that cocaine shipments from South America could reach the north of the country.
Another group with which Los Rusos would have forged a link in the territory of Acapulco would be the Union of Peoples and Organizations of the State of Guerrero (UPOEG), community police apparently linked to the shooting attack against the state’s deputy prosecutor, Ramón Celaya, in August 2022.
