Many sports were affected by many children and young people quitting during the pandemic when the restrictions made it more difficult.

New statistics show that the Parasport Association, the largest association that organizes sports for the disabled, had almost 40 percent fewer participation opportunities in 2022 compared to 2019, before the pandemic.

– An event like the Para WC here in Östersund is important. It’s a chance to come into contact with para sports and see role models in place, says Jakob Forssmed.
