According to America’s National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) On May 13, a North Carolina store owner called police to say he had seen Kayla Unbehaum in his business.because he recognized her after checking her case in Unsolved Mysteries.

Of course the police thought it was a joke, but upon arrival at the store, indeed they found Kayla and not only that, Heather Unbenhaun was also with her, who, as you can imagine, ended up arrested. CMEC itself confirmed that After finding Kayla Unbenhaun, the now young woman returned home to her dad.who stated that they are beginning to relate again and assimilate the situation after not seeing each other for six years.

to the police, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and all law enforcement agencies that assisted with her case. We ask for privacy as we get to know each other again and navigate this new beginning.”
