Brilliant start of the “Library Sessions” in the bugo: Tape Moon inspired

GOFIS The Vorarlberg musician was at the start of the new “Library Sessions” in the bugo library Göfis Michael Naphegy with his solo project “Tape Moon”. The native of Feldkirch took three excellent guys from Vienna with him to the live performance and brought a brilliant presentation of the new album to the stage.

Versatile styles blended

After concerts and music productions with various formations, the Tape Moon singer, who is also a talented drummer, focuses in his latest project on the interplay between melody and sound experiment in the context of pop music. Mainly active in the field of jazz and improvised music, the 30-year-old loves to push the boundaries and fuse all kinds of styles.

The repertoire ranges from catchy, melodic titles like “Time is Running Out”, “In the Dream” and “Trees” to experimental pieces like “Red Bicycle”. Michael Blassnig on the drums, the drums work from all imaginable angles and sometimes use unconventional percussion such as a keyboard. Common and sometimes awkward, tangled beats alternate. Joachim Huber on the bass always knows how to find the right rhythm. Philip Wohovskywho is also a salon pianist and jazz keyboardist on the road, sometimes plays dizzying sequences of notes in the most varied of pitches, but does not take off, but always finds his way back to the title melody.

After the successful pavilion concerts in the bugo garden and the popular bugo summer sessions during the summer months, the ‘bugo library sessions’ are a new counterpart for the cold season, so that there’s also something going on in the bugo in the winter. Wonderful artists with a connection to Vorarlberg are invited to bring their music to Göfis. True to the motto ‘right in the middle and up close’, the musical experience of the live acts should feel like at home in the living room. The new format is curated by Christian Sonderegger, himself a musician and music school teacher. As head of the bugo library, Göfis was delighted Rudy Malin about the lively attendance at the first “Library Session” this year. Also among the guests of “Tape Moon” were John Lampert and Silvia Keckeis.

The next library session at the Bugo library in Göfis will take place on Sunday, March 12th with “Mona Ida in concert”. Start is at 7 p.m. HE
