While we learned last November that Xbox’s Cloud Gaming application planned for TVs would run on Samsung TVs released since 2021, the Korean manufacturer has just confirmed that its latest models will also support the Xbox application.

A 2023 range focused on the future and without surprises towards Cloud Gaming

Yesterday, we presented the full range of Samsung televisions planned for 2023 and there is no shortage of new features. Gaming will take on an even more important place in this ecosystem, as the brand specifies in one of his latest press releases published on the occasion of CES 2023.

“Samsung Gaming Hub, the new home of gaming on Samsung Smart TVs, gives users unlimited access to thousands of their favorite games from partners like Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna and Utomik, with no download, limit storage or consoles required. Plus, it’s the most intuitive gaming experience, where gamers can simply turn on their TV and play. »

This is not new with the many cloud gaming services in development, TV brands are increasingly addressing this issue for their Smart TVs and Samsung took the opportunity to name this ecosystem and give it a place of choice. Among the services highlighted, Xbox tops the list of the Korean manufacturer and Harrison Hoffman, senior product manager for Smart TV apps at Xbox, confirmed this:

“We confirm that the Xbox app will be available on Samsung’s new 2023 line of TVs when they go on sale later this year! So if you have a 2021-2023 Samsung TV, you’ll be able to play Xbox games through the cloud, without the need for a console. »

No particular surprise, but an additional confirmation of the preponderant place that the universe of cloud gaming is taking on our TVs.
