The substitute for the mayor of Guadalupe y Calvo, Refugio López Valenzuela, was shot to death last Saturday in the Colonia Gómez Morin de Parral.
The events occurred on Arte y Cultura street in Colonia Gomez Morin, when several armed subjects surprised the official and shot him.
The body was found in the cabin of a truck loaded with groceries.
The dejected official was fired last Tuesday in Baborigame, Guadalupe and Calvo, where the authorities of that town also paid tribute to him.
