They accuse a man of assaulting a trucker who was going to tow his car in NH

Police in Manchester, New Hampshire arrested a man Monday following the assault of a tow truck driver in May.

Manchester Police say that on May 9 at approximately 7pm they responded to 1308 Elm St following a report of an assault. The victim told police that she works for a towing company and that she was in a parking lot preparing to tow a car that did not have a parking permit.

While towing the car, the tow truck said a man got out and told him he wasn’t going to tow it, and hit him in the chest. The incident escalated and the man punched the victim in the face, authorities said.

Police said they viewed surveillance video of the incident and identified the suspect as 26-year-old Isaiah Rivera-Perez.

Rivera-Perez was arrested Saturday and charged with felony second-degree assault.
