This Friday closed the second week of trial for the brutal murder with blows of Fernando Baez bland, in the early morning of January 18, 2020 at the door of the Le Brique bowling alley in Villa Gesell. Now, while the expectation grows for what will be the statements of the two rugby players who were not charged in the case –Alejo Milanesi Y Juan Guarinowho are witnesses and have an obligation to tell the truth – and will have to testify next Monday, several accounts created in support of the eight defendants went viral on social networks.

The profiles, which are replicated on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, are anonymous and use various photos of the detainees to carry out an incredible request: “Enough of social condemnation. Enough of lies. Enough of violence. Enough of hate”.

Although they are many and very different, the most representative has a significant number of followers on both Twitter and Instagram and bears the name of “Zárate Rugby”. According to him he rebuilt TN.com.arthe account has no publications but it does replicate comments and opinions that defend those accused of Fernando’s murder.

“This is a show, it’s really sad to see the level of hatred that they handle for the kids. Was this a tragedy? Yes, but sadly it happens every day, only this case became so mediatic that they are even going to use it with Political purposes”, is expressed in one of the last private messages that she received on Instagram. In another of them it reads: “I’m very sorry. Alcohol is sometimes delirious. I’m very sorry for Fernando’s parents, but also for the boys who are dying in life. It shows that they are wrong”. “Strength for the boys. From minute one they are no longer alone, we are here with them”another user said.

Whoever controls the profile hides both the names and photos of the people who comment, without making it clear if the defense is real or if it is a reprehensible maneuver to generate repercussions on social networks. In any case, the controversy over this action generated repudiation among those who demand justice for the death of the 18-year-old law student.

The anonymity of the account does not allow us to know whether or not those responsible for the profile are relatives, friends and relatives of the defendants who do not dare to defend them openly and although their Twitter posts are protected, in one of those messages it was indicated: “We all, as a society, are hurt by what happened: Fernando could be a grandson, son or friend of any of us. But, on the other hand, the eight defendants too”.
