Years go by, and the love for Diego Armando Maradona is still intact and valid. Now, that affection was manifested by the discovery of a photo that was taken in 1981.
A woman named Laura shared a story about a photo that her mother took of a boy with Maradona that year. She spent a lot of time, and until now she couldn’t get it to him. However, she turned to social networks to expand the search.
As it could be reconstructed, the story occurred in February 1981, but it is only now known thanks to the fact that Laura, daughter of Liliana, the woman who took the photo, decided to make the search public.
The story and the story:
“In 1981 I organized my first vacation to Mardel, I came from Plaza Huincul. Half by chance, I pass by the Dos Reyes Hotel and see that the entire Boca delegation was there. In those days, there was the news that Maradona was passing to Boca, so I stop at the window to look and, indeed, I see him inside the hotel. I start to ask for a photo against the glass and two bodyguards wave their hands, but Diego tells them to let me in. I went in, took my photo and left, but the happiness was so great that I couldn’t leave the sidewalk.
When Diego comes out and wants to get into a car, this boy who was about 13 or 14 years old approaches me and begging me, almost crying, begs me: “please, take a picture of me with Diego!”. I do so without hesitation, and the boy gives me Rosario’s address so that I can send it to her when she reveals her story.
The thing is, due to lack of money, I took so long to reveal it that I lost all the data on that boy. I always kept thinking that this boy must still be waiting for that photo, and that’s why I’m sending it to him because I would love it if we could find him. I hope it gets into his hands soon!
