A group of seven young people has been captured and faces serious charges after a series of residential robberies in the Miami-Dade region.

The suspects, all under 30 years of age, were identified as Kevin Yesid Zuluaga, Vanessa Echavarría, Angel Alejandro Rojas Morales, Andrey Vega-Perea, Andrés Charria Cardona, Jarol Duván Zuluaga León and Kevin Santiago Cruz Barrera.

The arrest was the result of a joint effort between multiple law enforcement agencies in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, which, through advanced intelligence tactics, allowed detectives to observe the robbery live, thus leading to the apprehension of the criminals .

The gang was captured after being caught stealing from a residence located near 25 Terrace, in the city of Doral.

Apparently, the members of the group divided roles during the criminal act: Kevin Yesid Zuluaga stood guard from an electric skateboard while Vanessa Echavarría and Angel Alejandro Rojas Morales kept watch from a nearby gas station.

Andrey Vega-Perea waited in a car while only three carried out the attempted robbery.

The young criminals, as described in the report, were prepared with hoods and even a radio switch designed to interfere with police communications.

Despite their sophisticated method, the gang was tracked and captured by authorities as they fled the crime scene.

Edwin López, Doral police chief, indicated that those arrested were traveling in rented vehicles from New York.

López emphasized that the young thieves operated with precision and studied their victims for weeks to detect the best moment for the robbery.

The defendants now face serious charges, including residential burglary, grand theft and resisting arrest.
