On the second day of special security operations by state and federal forces in Nuevo Casas Grandes, a man was arrested in possession of drugs, weapons, tactical equipment, and vehicles with reports of theft.

According to an official statement from the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), in response to various complaints about the presence of armed persons in the La Esperanza neighborhood, in the northwestern municipality, elements of the special mixed groups carried out tactical tours of the zone.

During these tours, a man was located who tried to flee after seeing the elements of the State Police, but was caught, subdued and detained, to later find objects whose possession is illegal.

This is Jesús Miguel N., who, upon being subdued, tried to bribe the state police with 29,000 pesos and 590 dollars in exchange for his freedom, illegal conduct that was added to the crimes for which the man was arrested.

Jesús Miguel N. was immediately transferred to Ciudad Juárez to make him available to the Attorney General of the Republic, since the commission of the aforementioned crimes belongs to federal jurisdiction, reported the SSPE.

The detainee was assured that he was in possession of the following: six metal chargers, each one stocked with 30 7.62×39 caliber useful cartridges; a metal magazine stocked with 20 useful 7.62×51 caliber cartridges; a tactical mesh vest; a green pixelated vest with ballistic plates; green pixelated pants; a ballistic plate; a portable communication radio; six beige ballistic helmets; six black ballistic helmets; 11 magazine holders for long weapons; two suspenders for fittings; approximately 4 kilograms of the drug known as marijuana; 29 thousand pesos in cash; $590; a 2010 GMC Terrain pickup truck; a 2018 Toyota Tacoma pickup reported stolen and a 2018 Ford Raptor pickup reported stolen
