A young woman from La Plata denounced that she was scammed by the Platabus bus company. Everything happened this Monday around 8.30, when I was in the Chascomús Terminal with a friend and they were waiting for the bus to go back to the Buenos Aires capital. However, the bus never arrived and both were forced to take another transport to return to work on time.

In the midst of the discomfort, the young woman made the corresponding claims to the customer service numbers and received an unusual response: “The service was fulfilled as normal”.

“To move from Chascomús to La Plata, if you do not have your own mobility, use the remote remittance service or the bus. Since there were no more cars left, on Saturday we got tickets to return Monday at 8:30. They told me that the bondi left from the Terminal,” the victim told 0221.com.ar. In this sense, he explained that “We both left from the same place and the ticket agent, to whom we showed the ticket, saw the departure time, the trip information and more. And he didn’t tell us anything”.

As the minutes passed, the young women realized that the bus was taking longer than usual. “We arrived with time to wait calmly but it was 9 o’clock and when we asked about the delay, the same ticket clerk told us that in half an hour he would be at the Terminal”, he commented.

However, by that time it was already 10 in the morning and the bus had not reached Chascomús. As if this were not enough, the line of people began to become more and more extensive. “At 9.30 we consulted again and he told us that four bondis were on their way with the same destination as ours, so we probably assumed that one of those would be ours. At 10 no bus arrived to La Plata”, he recounted in dialogue with this portal.

By that time in the morning, other passengers expressed their concern to the ticket agent, who reported that he had contacted the driver of the unit and argued that the delay was related to an accident near Etcheverry. “The traffic was advancing at the pace of a man and because of this the buses continued in La Plata”the young woman indicated.

Both she and her friend decided to return to the city by other means, but first they made the corresponding claim for the company to return the money for the tickets. “We went to ask about a possible return of money, or leave us some tickets for the next one, and that’s when the man at the ticket office got cold feet and told us that the bus had already left. He also insisted that it was our fault for losing him.“, he claimed.

Quickly, the young woman tried to communicate with the contact numbers of the company and sent all the corresponding information, with the photo of the tickets and other information, through WhatsApp. She was first offered to ride the next service. “When I asked for a refund or that I have the tickets enabled for the next one, they told me that the traffic sector notified them that the service was carried out normally. That is a lie because I was at the Terminal since 8.15, and they can also confirm it through the security cameras”, stressed the victim.

Anguished by the situation, the young woman considers making a complaint to the National Transport Regulation Commission (CNRT) or to Consumer Defense. “The truth is that in customer service they teased me, it’s obvious that bus never arrived at its destination because the tickets say 8.30 and I never saw a bus arrive at that time”, he concluded.
