They dismantle a criminal group of Dominican origin and arrest seven people dedicated to the sale of cocaine in Spain

SPAIN.- The National Police, within the framework of the ‘Madriguera’ operation, dismantled a criminal group of Dominican origin in charge of introducing, preparing and selling cocaine in the city of Huesca, in Spain and has arrested seven people.

The investigation began nine months ago when an increase in the sale of cocaine was detected in the town, finding out that its distribution was being carried out from two homes, as well as in the bar run by one of the now detainees, has informed the Huesca Provincial Police Station in a press release.

In the first phase of the operation, one of the points of sale was dismantled, this being a house run by three brothers who hid the drugs in hidden holes that they set up in the common areas of the building where they lived, thus trying to avoid the seizure of the same in the case of domiciliary searches.

During the search carried out, the agents located 21 grams in doses already prepared for direct sale in a hole set up in the elevator, as well as half a kilogram of cocaine in a cove under the floor of the common courtyard of the building.

The agents proceeded to arrest the three brothers and, likewise, 7,960 euros were seized, as well as various tools for their preparation for retail sale. Also during this phase, a drug dealer who was distributing orders to different parts of the city on a scooter was arrested.

SECOND LEVEL

In a second phase of this police operation, a second cocaine sales point located in a house was dismantled, where two other people were arrested, in charge of storing, handling and adulterating the drug, preparing it for later distribution.

During the search carried out, the agents seized 1,049 grams of cocaine, as well as 3,660 grams of caffeine with which the investigated adulterated and multiplied the amount of the doses.

In this phase of the operation, a member of the group was also arrested when she entered the city to introduce merchandise destined for later adulteration and sale.

The ‘Burrow’ operation has resulted in the largest amount of cocaine seized in the city of Huesca, a total of 1,613 grams, as well as 8,170 euros and various tools for handling the narcotic substance and its preparation for direct sale. Likewise, seven people have been arrested for crimes against public health, and the judicial authority ordered the entry of three of them into pretrial detention.
